Especially a back-light for the display. But gee whiz, Panasonic, the design looks like it's from the 80s: The display is low res, and not back-lit, the button label text and layout is dated; all-in-all, it looks like a product that's begging for a refresh. But as a phone, it works. The KX-TS3282 works fine; that's the good news. The buttons are labeled well enough, the speakerphone works OK, etc.
It has an easily readable display that shows caller ID and Caller ID/call Waiting info. It has a very nice feature that allows one to select a number or party while off line and then it dials it on the default line when the receiver is picked up or the speaker button is pressed. All told a great telephone and it has very good audio to boot. I purchased this instrument to replace an older 2-line phone that failed. The 3828 arrived in mint condition and works great in every respect.
The caller ID display on the phone also identifies the caller. This phone was a bit more expensive than other 2-line phones available. You may have seen some of the advertising for MagicJack. One of the features of the phone is that you can choose different ringer tones for each line. My MagicJack is connected to a DSL hi speed internet line through a router.
I ordered this Panasonic KX-TS382B 2-line phone to replace an old 2-line phone that I had purchased from Qwest many years ago. But I am happy that I purchased it. This is useful for identifying which line is receiving an incoming call. I am very happy with it.
This serves as the 2nd line and is the one I use for almost all of my long distance service. It is definitely worth the money. The sound quality is terrific, it installed without a hitch, and the features all work as advertised.I am using it with one landline (Qwest is the phone company) and one MagicJack. It has been heavily advertised on TV over the last few years.
It should have been made adjustable. Since i have to connections, this works well to use both line interchangeably however, the display not does not show well because of the angle its at.
Most of my time is spent on conference calls, I was really looking forward to this working right, but when I have to speak I need to pick up the handset if I want to ensure that I am heard correctly. I have to get down right next the the mic and even then it is not that good. The physical quality of the phone is good. My major complaint with this phone is that everyone tells me my voice cuts in and out when I am on the speakerphone talking.
